Where in the World?

A great way to increase the students' awareness of geography. This is done as extra credit with a different place in the world every week. Pictures are put on the bulletin board with a clue. The student has to write the answer on a slip of paper with his or her name and put it in the tub (made by covering a plastic container with scrapbook paper and cutting a slit in the lid). The answer MUST be spelled correctly. Pictures can be printed off of the internet or cut out of magazines. The background for the bulletin board is fabric that was found at the Overall Teacher's local fabric store.

"Let's Work Together" Bulletin Board

This bulletin board idea is great for the beginning of the school year. This is on display outside the classroom in the hallway. The bulletin board was covered with black butcher paper. Scrapbook paper was laminated and then the words "Let's Work Together" were cut out. The names of students in the class were put on gears of different colors.

A colorful, creative way to invite kids into the classroom!
